Sarah Reflection

This week, we are discussing Sarah. She is the mother of the Jewish nation. Jesus was born of her blood line. She is a very important woman in our history. This week take into consideration some things about Sarah.

1) Sarah was barren for years, but remained faithful to her God. She never turned her back. That same faithfulness was a part of her marriage. Sarah followed Abraham where ever he went, no arguing or complaining.

2) In the time that Sarah and Abraham lived, a marriage contract consisted of a section on child bearing. If the wife did not produce a son with in two years the husband could leave her or she could offer a maid to conceive a child for them. Sarah was patient, but she felt the need to fulfill her contract Abraham. She offered Hagar to him. She loved her husband and was committed to her marriage enough to offer another woman to him.

We need to be as faithful as Sarah in our faith and our marriage. We need to hold up our end of each contract. In Sarah's patience with God she received a promise that Isaac would be the beginning of many King's that would be descendants of her. Even though Sarah had to wait until she was old to have a child, God provided!

This week reflect on things that you have asked God for that haven't come in to place yet. As you reflect think about Sarah's faith, how long she waited for her prayers to be answered. Be strong in the Lord and know that God is not on our time, we are on his time. Continue to pray and know that God will answer your prayers on His time.

Ladies, God made you strong, beautiful, intelligent, and GOOD! Be proud of who He made YOU!!

Eve Reflection

Genesis 1:26-31
Genesis 2-4

This week we are discussing EVE. She is the beginning of women and the world's Mother. As we move through this week, reflect on what Eve reminds us about.

1. God created us in his image. As women we are capable of showing love, truth, goodness, beauty, wisdom, and strength.

2. Even though God punished Adam and Eve for their sin, We have been given a promise that a Redeemer will crush the enemy.

3. The curse of painful childbirth brings with it a sign of God's grace. We may bear pain, but with it comes new life that will continue to pass on God's love, grace, mercy, and truth.

Challenge for the week:
Be aware of your tendency to want to move away from God's will for you to follow your own will and also be aware of the enemy trying to help you move away from God. Continue to surrender your life to God.

Ladies,
God made you strong, beautiful, intelligent, and GOOD! Be proud of who He made YOU!
